Dream 4/12/2016

There is a machine that can turn toy cars into real ones.

A kid that's hanging out with us, Andrew, says that he has a red toy Volkswagen Van. He tells me I can have it. We make a pit stop at his house and me and two other guys tear his room apart trying to find the Van, but we can't. It's nowhere to be seen. We get back in the car, disappointed, and I tell Andrew, "If you run across the Volkswagen van, I will give you $1000.00 for it." The guy next to me whispers, "that's a good deal." Andrew tells me that he will look for it. Dream ends.

Dream 3/25/2016

I roam an abandoned town with a friend. No life can be found, except for the zombie infestation that remains there. We fight to stay alive.

We search the town for survivors. We come across my friend, Sam and his wife. Our conversation with them is short. I ask them where we can find fashionable clothes and cute girls. Sam's wife tells us to look near the women's clothing store. We bid them farewell.

We search the town but cannot find the store. Dream ends.

Homecoming

Dream 2/19/2016

Tonight is homecoming.

My old school is doing a celebration of all the classes together including those who have graduated. I'm getting ready at my house. I am in the upstairs bathroom. My mom is downstairs. All of a sudden, my phone turns on by itself and starts playing an audio clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Sgc1I9sjfc). The clip is an audio sound byte of a supposed woman astronaut that Russia sent into space in 1961. Her space flight encountered problems and her capsule went up in flames. The clip is a recording of her last moments. It is unsettling. It scares me. I run downstairs. My mom is moving an old camper out back. I finish getting ready in the camper bathroom.

I have to be at homecoming by 8 o'clock. I look at my watch. It's 7:56. I stress out and start yelling at my mom, telling her that we need to leave now! 

The school crowds all of its students and alumni onto risers in the gymnasium. My nephews are in pre-k and kindergarten. They stand in front. The school has made food for us but they didn't make enough. They say the alumni can eat first. I grab a bowl and bring it over to my nephews. I let them eat from it. Dream ends.

I go to the movies with my mom. I get a large Coke to quench my thirst during the movie. As I sip on the drink, I notice that the taste isn't quite right, but I figure it's nothing and I drink the rest.

After the movie is over, I remove the lid from the cup. At the bottom of the cup is a newt, curled up, looking afraid. After a minute of being completely grossed out, I try to remove him, but he hisses at me. I take him out with some paper towel. He wiggles and hisses and tries to bite me. Dream ends.

We are driving down the highway. I am sitting in the back seat. Coming at us is a hundred foot wave. I can see the top of it through the sunroof. We speed up and ram directly into it. We come out on the other side. Someone in the car says they're glad it was a small wave. Dream ends

Blind Wedding

I'm getting married to a girl I knew in high school.

     I'm trying to make it to my wedding. My sister, two friends and I jump into a boat. We float on down a winter river. My sister says she knows the way.  As we go, we find that the river splits into several different paths. We go down one but find it's not right, so we turn around. We do this several times. One path leads us to the ocean. 

Below our boat is a giant squid. Me and the guys grab what we can and start wailing on it. We kill it.

     My sister starts yelling at me for being lost even though it was her that got us there. She tells me that I am supposed to conduct the choir. WHAT?!? I didn't know this. Who would make the groom conduct the choir? What kind of wedding is this? She tells me to call my fiancé. I feel a little weird calling her because I haven't seen her since high school. That's right, we haven't seen each other and we're getting married. I try calling her but when I dial the number, the only thing showing on my phone is 0V0. Dream ends.

I've been put in charge of a garage full of antiques.

     The person that put me in charge is a picker. He travels around the country to buy antiques, then he refurbishes them and resells them. He is letting me live at his house for the time being.

     One night I am lying on my bed watching youtube videos when a beautiful girl comes into my room and lies down next to me. We watch videos together. She asks me if I want to learn electrical wiring. I do. She says that she will teach me. "You know about electric wiring?" I ask. She does. She gets up and leaves. A sad feeling comes over me. Dream ends.

I am working security at a recycling plant. 

     My jeep is parked where I can see all entrances to the property. I fall asleep in my jeep. I wake up at 7 AM to my mom honking her car horn. I immediately panic because I've slept four hours past my clock out time and at any moment the upper management will arrive and find that I am a horrible security guard. 

     I tell my mom to hold on and I check out the premises to see if anyone is here yet. I see my boss and some other workers. I try to avoid them. Dream ends.

Dream 3/22/2015

My family and me are walking through a store before church.

     We get into a disagreement. They say something like you don't deserve to go to church. They leave me at the store. I tell the cashier that my family left me and then I leave myself.

     I go down to a camp. It's mixed genders and ages. I start dating three girls at the same time. One I think is brunette, another is tall and has red hair, a bit on the quirky side. The last one has dark, blonde hair, she defines the word 'sexy.' Beautiful, she moves slow and cool like a wild cat on a hunt.

     I walk into one of the cabin bedrooms and there she is waiting for me. The blonde lies on the bed naked. Her bare breasts staring back at me, her bottom half covered up by the blanket. I crawl into bed with her. We kiss. We do things that you're not allowed to do at camp.

     Later that day, the leadership of the camp is in an uproar at how all the campers are having sex with each other. They hold a meeting at the cafeteria. I pass my old friend Adam on the way. He very proudly says he convinced them of just giving him fifteen minutes in detention. Once I get into the cafeteria, I find my lawyer, a thirteen year old kid. I ask him where we can meet. He says at the flower shop. Dream ends.

Ice Cold

Dream 3/20/2015

My friends and me are playing a pickup game of Ice Hockey.

     Thousands of people have come to watch. Instead of playing with hockey sticks, we're playing with axes. By the end of the second period, my team is ahead 8-4.

     Right before the third and final period begins, my friends on the team, the good players, wave goodbye and say they other obligations at this time. They are replaced by less than mediocre players.

We start to lose the game. Dream ends.

Beer Run

I'm having a get together at my house.

My sisters and my brother-in-law, ask my mom and me to run out and get a 24 pack of Bud Light. puts in a special request for a few Miller Lights.

We run into town.

We end up picking up a six pack of Bud and bringing it back to the party. Everyone is a little disappointed in our ability to follow instructions.

We really dropped the ball. Dream ends

Flood

Dream 1/7/2015

I'm at my cousin DJ's house.

     My sister, Morgan, is about to run to the store. She is in the car waiting for me. I'm trying to put on my shoes as fast as I can. I look out the window and see the car leaving the driveway. I run outside to try and stop her but she speeds off down the road with DJ in the car.

     I turn around, disappointed, and see a girl I used to know from school. She comes over to me. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a metal, playground slide appears. We play on it for a bit. I ask her what kind of TV shows does she like. She doesn't answer. I sit at the top of the ladder and she climbs up the slide. We lay down, cover up with a blanket and turn on a little, portable TV that is there. I hold her close to me and feel a pitter-patter in my heart.

     Later, when my sister and cousin return, we wonder back inside. All of us are sitting around watching TV when my cousin tells me he wants me to flood the house for fun. I go into the kitchen and clog the sink. I start the water but immediately feel guilty at what I'm about to do. I turn off the water. My cousin walks in. He tells me if I can't do it, then he'll do it. He turns on the faucet and floods the house. For fun. Dream ends

Elevator Pitch

A Dream From My Past

I run into an old friend from high school one day.

Josh.

He is walking toward an elevator. I run after him to catch up on life. I reach him. We stand in an elevator with several strangers. The doors close. The elevator starts moving downward. Josh immediately hits the "STOP" button on the panel. The elevator comes to an abrupt stop. I'm standing in the corner watching, trying to figure out what is happening. 

Josh pulls out a clear bag full of white powder. Cocaine. Everyone in the elevator pulls out cash. Josh says, "Okay, everyone pass your money to the right." They follow his command. He starts passing around small bags of the cocaine. 

When business is finished, he presses a button to continue the elevators descent. The doors open and Josh exits. I follow him.

In front of us is a group of church goers wearing christian t-shirts. Somebody points out Josh as being a drug dealer. One of the church goers, an old lady, walks over to Josh and starts yelling and demeaning him. Josh doesn't respond. I jump in between them and face the lady. I yell back at her in anger, "If you people would stop condemning people and actually start trying to help them, maybe their wouldn't be so much bad in the world." Dream ends.

Two men ride their motorcycles down a windy, country road.

They crash. 

One of the men is dead. The other has some serious problems. He was decapitated. His skin and guts in his mid-section are missing, all you can see are his bones. In the accident, he grew an extra pair of legs. He is in pain because his hip bones are separated and he needs something to keep them together. Somebody brings a big, long chain. They chain his bones together. Everything is good. 

He walks down the road, an extra person tall, holding his head in his hands above his neck. Dream ends.

     I'm in Sandoval, Illinois visiting my cousin, aunt and uncle. My cousin and I are playing video games in the room that he spent much of his childhood in. He has a different bedroom now. 

     It's late at night. I go into the kitchen to get some food. I find my aunt. She's standing by an open trashcan, zombie-like, peeling an apple with a knife. I guess the trashcan is for the bruised pieces. She doesn't look at me but every once in a while hands me a piece. My hunger fades. Dream ends

Dream 10/10/2014

     Outside the World Trade Center, there is a monument that stands several stories tall. I climb the monument with my camera in hand. There is a ladder that leads to the very top of the monument. I climb it. I get to the top. I am so high in the air that high anxiety overcomes me. I start the climb back down. I almost fall but catch myself. I make it to the ground.

     I walk into the parking garage for the World Trade Center. I come across two security guards fighting in a homemade ring. One guard completely knocks out the other. I leave the garage.

     I think about entering one of the twin towers, but I get a feeling that I shouldn't. I walk away. Dream ends

Performance Review

Dream 10/9/2014

     I'm in a classroom full of students. We're waiting to be called. Every now and then a teacher will come to the door and call out a name, that student will then be led to an office for a review of their performance. 

While I wait for my name to be called, I play Call Of Duty (COD) on the computer. Whenever a teacher passes by, I hide what I'm doing by minimizing the COD screen. A teacher comes to the door. My friend Tim is being called for his performance review. 

     I continue with COD.

     Tim comes back from the review with a little disappointment on his face. I ask him, "what's up?" He tells me that he's getting a "B" in flag making. Poor guy, he's so concerned about a "B" and I'm not even sure if I'm gonna graduate. Two different worlds.

     My math teacher comes to the door and calls my name. I follow her to an office. I keep a confident smile but really I'm nervous. I get the news that I expected. Summer school. Dream ends

Lost and Found

Dream 10/3/2014

     I am shopping with my mom at the local mall. She notices some baby swimsuits through a shop window. It's crowded. I stay outside while she walks inside. I circle the area while she shops. I sit down on a bench. I stand back up. I notice that I am standing behind a cashiers desk where I shouldn't be. A thick, black lady, who seems to be the cashier, greets me. She asks me what I'm doing. I tell her that I'm waiting for my mom whose in that shop. She says something else to me and some spit hits my face. It's cold like ice.

     I check on my mom to see if she is done but the store is closed and their is no one inside. Now I'm confused. I go back to the cashier and ask her if she has seen my mom. The cashier checks with her co-worker. He says that she went to the "Bib Shop." I head there but don't find her. I continue walking through the mall until I come to a Macy's type store. 

     I see my mom shopping in the aisles. I catch her. She doecsn't seem to mind that she worried me. Dream ends

I Wake Up

Repulsive

Dream 9/23/2014

   I am a warrior in a resistance fighting off the undead army of zombie darkness. After fighting for a while, i become numb and the zombies surround me. Luckily, I am friends with Ryan Reynolds, who is friends with the zombies, and he comes to my rescue. 

     When we arrive to his studio apartment, we are greeted by two beautiful women, one black and one white (variety is the spice of life.) That night I sleep in an office chair. When I wake up, I find both women in bed with Ryan, naked. I throw a tantrum. Ryan asks whats wrong but I don't really say. The bitterness inside me stems from the fact that I don't have anyone in my life to hold. He has two! 

     We live in an underground city. (It looks like Zion from The Matrix.) I roam the halls of an apartment complex until I come to a very luxurious suite. The bathroom alone is larger than Ryan's apartment. Their is three of everything. Three toilets, three sinks and three showers, plus a bathtub. I take a shower. Another guy is here as well. He tells everyone he knows about the suite and the presidential bathroom. Loads of people start pouring through the doors. It's shoulder to shoulder. The value of the suite is severely diminished. I leave. 

     My sister has just returned from a trip to Paris, France with two of her friends. I have a crush on one of these friends. We're all riding in a car together. The girl who I crush on is sitting in the backseat with me. I ask her about her trip to Paris. She talks to me as if I am deformed. I tell her about my trip to Santo Domingo. She could care less. What is it about myself that is so repulsive to the female demographic. Dream ends

The Long Jump

Dream 3-13-14

I begin doing the Olympic long jump down the street where me and some friends once left a Volkswagen van. 

I'm long jumping. I feel as though I'm flying. It doesn't seem like something that a human can do. Angels must be holding my arms.

I catch the attention of some friends that I haven't seen for years, the Lore sisters. They start doing the long jump with me. One of the girls says that her favorite place to go long jumping is Meijer. 

We start to make our way toward the store. We never make it there. Instead, we head to an old couple's house. When we step inside we are immediately greeted with a hush. The old couple can't take loud noises. We look over toward the kitchen. An old man has fallen asleep in his lunch. Dream ends.
