I'm in a hotel room. My family's here as well. Some of them are drunk. Our room is connected by a door to another hotel room where guests are staying. My sister, Kristen, has had too much to drink and is not making sense. She hears the strangers in the next room talking. She walks over to the connecting door and yells to them, "go tomorrow!" Her statement makes no sense. The rest of us laugh.

My sister, Morgan, has had a few drinks as well. She's buzzed. She tells me that the movie theater downstairs is playing a free movie for anyone who wants to see it. Morgan and I go downstairs to see the film. The theater is crowded, as is the case whenever something is free. The movie begins. The production company logo comes onto the screen. I notice the words JOY and PRAISE in the title. Morgan asks, "Is this a Christian movie?" Just then, a picture of Jesus appears on the screen. I turn around, and most of the people are leaving. Morgan and I go too, not because we don't love Jesus or Christianity but because our opinions of Christian movies are poor.

We walk down a sidewalk through city streets. Morgan is drunk by this point. She goes back to the hotel room, and I keep walking. I come across a store that sells electronics. I walk inside and look at the CDs and headphones. I want Bluetooth earbuds, but I check the price, and they are $4000.00.

Dream 10/31/2017

My dad and me are going to a movie. We never end up at a theater. We find ourselves in a large banquet room. The room is circular and has a hallway that wraps completely around.

I'm impressing my friends by rollerblading down a flight of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs is a pile of junk. I fly over it. I overhear my sister talking to my transplant coordinator. Everyone else can hear the conversation as well. I run up the stairs to where they are talking. I pull out a large knife and drop it to the floor where they stand.

My sister tells me that my friend Joel just dropped his list of top friends and I was on it. That means a lot to me.

Everyone is leaving. I run through the building grabbing items that belong to me. A few blankets on the stairs, a pair of jean shorts etc. My family walked down into the basement and then outside. I come to the basement door but get scared to go down there. I wouldn't be scared if my family was still down there but they are outside so that means that when I go down the basement stairs, I will be alone in the basement and that thought scares me. Dream ends.

The Movie House

Dream 9/1/2017

I am going to see a movie. A couple people are with me. I don't know their names. We walk into the cinema. Four goofy men stand to the side and let us in. Each of them has a name. They give us a complimentary trench coat. Each audience member receives one.

I pay for a ticket and enter the show room. The movie starts. It is not the movie that I payed for. In fact, it isn't a movie at all. It is many low quality skits made by the employees of the movie theater. When I leave the theater, a couple of strange men follow me. They get in my car. At this point, I am not sure if I am awake or asleep. If this is reality or a dream. I feel like I am on an acid trip. I drive the car but am not in control. As much as I try to get home, I can't. I don't have all the answers but I know that my confusion has to do with the two strange men in my car.

I am going to see a movie. When entering the complex, I get a trench coat. I hear a person tell me that the secret is to give the trench coat back. Do not keep the trench coat. I go and see the movie. I sit in the very back corner. This is not the movie I came to see. My dialysis nurse walks on stage. She says something to the crowd. I leave the theater. When exiting the complex, I hand the trench coat back to the man who gave it to me. When I leave, nobody follows me. If I wanted to go home, I could.

I am going to see a movie. When I walk inside, a host hands me a free trench coat. I immediately hand it back and pat him on the side of the arm and say, "thanks anyway." I don't go into the show room. Instead, I explore the hallways where only employees are allowed. There are many doors. Each door has a number. These rooms are a mystery to me.

I see my sister. She is sad. I feel bad for her. She tells me to go into one of the rooms and steal whatever I desire. I have keys in my hand. Silver and gold. I enter a room. A boy sits on a table. He asks me for money. He sees the keys in my hand. He doesn't think it is fair for me to have the keys. I walk to the closet door and open it. There, inside the closet, are many hooks. The hooks are numbered. On each hook is something valuable. Coins, jewelry, electronics etc. I think about what I want to take, then my conscious gets the best of me. I can't steal. It would be wrong. I take all the money in my pockets, several quarters and hang them on an empty hook. I leave the room.

When I exit the building, nobody follows me. Dream ends.

Cinema Confusion

Dream 5/11/2017

My sister and me are watching a movie at the cinema. During the movie, Kristen, my sister, has to step out for a moment. I am unaware of where she has gone.

The movie that I'm watching is scary. I'm not sure whether or not it is considered a horror movie, but it scares me for some reason so I step out. Right outside of the theater is an arcade. I find my sister in the arcade. I tell her that I want to play some games but I need to find an ATM to get some cash and to first check my balance, to be sure I have enough money in the bank. My balance shows that I have $8,000.00 dollars in it. I have no earthly clue where that money came from. I even check my debit cart to be sure that it is mine. It is.

I exit the cinema, leaving my sister there by herself. I find my mom at home. She finds a movie ticket that says "Egypt 1." She asks if I saw the movie called "Egypt 1." I freak out and say no. I have no idea where that ticket came from. My mom and I get into the car and drive toward the movie theater to find my sister. At one point we make a wrong turn and drive down a dead end road. We turn back around. Dream ends.

2001: A Space Odyssey

     I take a group of about ten of my friends to go see the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's one of my favorite movies. They've never seen it before. About a third of the way through the movie my friends complain that the movie is too slow and boring. They all stand up and walk out. I decide to go with them. Dream ends.

My Girl

Dream 3/29/2017

     I work at a thrift store. Every time somebody brings in a guitar I have to check it out. I love guitars. I'm over in the guitar section looking at some of the new merchandise when some co-workers ask for help in the back. The backroom is a giant warehouse. At this time we are setting up a huge number of chairs for a ceremony. I help with the chairs but we don't have enough. That night a thousand people gather in the warehouse and find their seats. On the big screen, we watch the movie "My Girl." So much has been cut out of the movie. It's like watching a whole different movie. I stand up at the end and voice my complaint to the crowd about the movie.

     After everyone leaves, we have an end of the world party. A few of the guys go out to get some ice cream but get drunk instead. On their way back to the party, they crash the van and tip it. I decide to go out and get myself an ice cream sandwich at a nearby gas station. I get lost. I never return to the party. Dream ends.

Pass The Tardy Sauce

Dream 2/25/2017

     I'm in the boys bathroom at Liberty Christian High School. While sitting on the toilet I watch a movie on my smartphone. The stall doesn't have a door but rather a curtain. When a student walks in, I show him the movie that I'm watching. Straight ahead, outside the stall is the wall of urinals. For some reason, there is a TV on the urinal directly in front of me. I switch video from my phone onto the TV and watch it that way. In the end, I finish up and leave the bathroom.

     I walk down to the communications/praise and worship classroom where I find my friend Aaron. We talk for a moment when I look at the clock and see that it is 9:42 AM. All of a sudden, anxiety hits my stomach like a train. I was in the bathroom for way too long. I ask him what class period it is. He tells me that it's Mr. Feeny's class. I stress out. He tells me just go out to the hallway. When I do, I see that it is between class periods. Straightaway I lose most of the anxiety in my stomach but I'll still have some explaining to do. Dream ends.

The War in the Stars

Dream 5/21/2016

I'm in the field next to my old church in Anderson, Indiana. In between the church and the woods, I pitch a tent. A fancy igloo, no ice. The pastors daughter, Carrie, visits my igloo. She tells me about her new house, which she built where the gazebo used to be. We decide to go see Star Wars: Episode 8. The movie theater is where her house is. In the movie, Lando Calrissian has converted to the dark side and is now a storm trooper. He's played by Denzel Washington. Darth Vader is the main villain of the film, which is odd considering he's supposed to be dead.

Next, we watch Star Wars: Episode 9 which is entitled, "The Hard One." During the movie, the theater workers pause the film and demand our attention at the front of the room. They tell us that the upcoming scene has been difficult for some viewers, causing extreme nausea and sickness. It would help if we put a brass key next to our head during the scene and that will eliminate any chance of sickness. Carrie leaves the theater, I think to go find a key in her car. They resume the movie. The scene is of Luke Skywalker in a strange ship gunner pod. It's extremely fast. He is strapped into a speed absorbent harness. People get sick because the speed of the moment feels real. They feel as if they are there. Although it doesn't show, I think that Luke dies in this episode, considering it's called, "The Hard One." Dream ends.

The Wilderness Trip

My friend, Sam, is on a trip to the wilderness in the east United States.

I'm playing Minecraft in a hotel room with my friend Derek. I call Sam to see how his trip is going. He tells me that he killed a snake and kept it's bones for decoration. I am now in a car with Sam. I see the snake bones dangled from his rear view mirror. I ask him if he killed it himself, he dances around the answer. I ask him how he skinned it, did he use the hot water theory or the cold ice theory.

I am now back in the hotel room. Derek is now on the trip with Sam. They are on a bus. we are all on the phone together. Derek says, "Keith from Louisiana wants to know if we would want to play Minecraft or watch some movies. Sam answers, "me." Dream ends.

Dream 2/5/2016

     I'm out on the town with some friends when I see two girls from my church walk into a Michael's. I leave my friends to pursue the girls. I spot them in a checkout line which is really a "check in" line because the Michael's is actually a movie theater. I say hi to the girls. They don't seem to care. They are very heavy set and not very attractive. One of them is prettier than the other. I don't know if I am pursuing her because I'm slightly attracted to her or because I feel that she has no friends and I feel sorry for her. They buy a ticket for a movie called, "Pilgrim." I've never heard of it but I buy a ticket as well.

     I buy a tub of popcorn, because you can't very well watch a movie without a buttered tub of popcorn. I walk into the theater. It's big and crowded. One of those theaters that you used to see a lot more of, the one with a balcony and a ton of chairs. I walk down one aisle but I don't see them. I start down another when I spot them in the back. I sit with them. They don't seem pleased. The movie starts. It's a cartoon but boring as hell. I can see why I never heard of it. All we need now is angry moviegoers throwing buttered popcorn at the screen.

     The girls invite me back to their place. They are having a bunch of people sleepover. On the way there they talk about video games they play. The games they are talking about are twenty years old, it's as if they haven't discovered the newer PS4 or XBOX1. We get to their house and it is a mansion. It looks like a fancy hotel. The girls have four swimming pools in their bedroom. One pool for each sibling. I am in shock. This was a surprise ending. Dream ends.

Dream 1/24/2016

I go to the movies with my mom. I get a large Coke to quench my thirst during the movie. As I sip on the drink, I notice that the taste isn't quite right, but I figure it's nothing and I drink the rest.

After the movie is over, I remove the lid from the cup. At the bottom of the cup is a newt, curled up, looking afraid. After a minute of being completely grossed out, I try to remove him, but he hisses at me. I take him out with some paper towel. He wiggles and hisses and tries to bite me. Dream ends.

Dream 3/3/2015

Today is someone's birthday. It is a friend of my sister.

My sister's friend lives in France. Many people from my her class show up along with a few from mine. One of my best friends is here, Tim.

We walk around the house. I stay close to my sister. I'm always uncomfortable in other countries because I don't know their culture and I don't want to offend anyone with something that seems normal in mine.

I catch Tim and start a conversation with him. I ask him, "how is it that we were all able to afford this trip to France, after all, we just had a school field trip to Germany last week." Tim responds, "well, my family can afford it because we're rich but I don't know how yours came up with the money." He starts to explain to me that their is one class in high school that you must pass with flying colors or else you will be a deadbeat for the rest of your life.

It's around this time in the conversation that I notice that I am in a different place entirely. The place I am in looks like the motherboard of a computer. I wonder around a bit. It's huge. I'm like a small flea on a gigantic motherboard. I notice something strange. Just inside many of the doorways is a glossy film. I can't tell what it is. I walk and walk (I find I do this in a lot of my dreams). I just keep on walking. I walk until the sounds of life are far behind me.

I enter a room where a homosexual man is standing. He is attracted to me. He wants me. But I do not want him in that way. I run. He chases me. I run into a room the size of an auditorium. To the left of me is a playground slide. I climb onto it and lie down so that he doesn't see me. I hope he thinks that I just kept running and passes me by. I hear the door open. Silence at first and then I hear a thumping on the slide. I jump up and start running down the slide, only this is not a normal slide. It splits off into many paths and goes every direction. I pick one. It takes me to a factory where toys are made. I leave the slide and run. I just keep running. I turn corners and take doors in this gigantic maze. Anything to lose this guy behind me. I get so lost I know that he won't find me.

I come to a ramp that leads up to a glossy film. I know now that the film is a portal to another place. I run to it but it doesn't let me through. Instead, the floor starts to raise. One side and then the other. Sort of like a backwards 'Jacobs ladder.' A radio show comes on the intercom. The DJ's run a commentary on my situation. The floor keeps moving. One side raises and I run to that side, the other side raises and I run to that side. I am being lifted high into the air. Eventually it stops. In front of me is a portal. I jump through it.

I find myself in a large, dark room with many beds. The only light in the room is coming from a movie being played on the wall, via projector. But I'm the only one here. Dream ends.

Slumber Night

Dream 10/15/2014

I'm over at a friends house watching movies. I think I'm the only boy here. One of the girls and I are together. We cuddle on the floor in front of everyone, including her mom. Her sister says, "ok, you guys gotta break it up." We separate. 

While we watch TV, Edward Scissorhands walks through the front door. He doesn't say anything. He's probably confused. Did you walk through the wrong front door again, Ed? He realizes his mistake and walks out but doesn't leave. He stands by the window and looks in. A school bus drives by behind him. I hear Gollum's voice coming from outside. Dream ends

The Exploration

Dream 1-27-14

I'm back in my old high school in Anderson, Indiana. I'm in one of the classrooms down the senior hallway. The teacher has decided to show a film. The lights are down and the lights from the television screen dimly light the room. I can't be sure of what the movie is about. I sneak out of the room. 

I walk the halls. I see my old friend Cyrus walking toward me. We catch up.

Suddenly, a few of my classmates and me are in the film that was shown in the classroom. 

It's action packed. Their is snow everywhere. We are explorers in a new place. We stumble upon something out of the ordinary. A very large pole the size of a skyscraper is laying down. One side is on the same ground that we walk on and the other is up on a cliff. So the pole moves up. Attached to the pole is a ladder and a rope. So, we begin to climb.

One after the other we make our way up the pole to the cliff. Me and a friend are in front. We make it close to the top when I notice that next to the pole just under the cliff is a giant head made out of stone, much like Mt. Rushmore. The only difference is this head has powers. I reach out to the head and become one with it. I am now the head.

Everyone is still making their way up the pole. The friend who was just behind me falls. We are so high up that he will die if he hits the ground. Me being the size of Mt. Rushmore, I bring my giant stone arms up out of the mountain cliff and grab my friend before he hits the ground. I raise him up in my giant stone hands and place him on the cliff.

I separate myself from the head. I am now my normal self again. I begin to make my way to the cliff when I slip and fall. I fall hundreds of feet to my death. The color red fills the screen and I respawn. 

I am now hundreds of yards away from the pole. I see it in the distance. My friends have all made it to the top. I start to make my way back towards them. I am far behind. I hear a very deep and loud thump! I keep walking. I make it to the pole. I climb the pole. I make it to the top. At the top, I find a slide that goes from the top of the mountain cliff to the ground below and even below that. I decide to slide. 

I slide hundreds of yards, through the ground and when I come out on the other side I fly right into the side of a van that is parked at the end. Thump! I pick my body up off the ground. My friends are out of sight. 

Then out of nowhere, I see my old friend Cyrus. We catch up. Dream ends.

Dream 6-12-13

I'm at work. I'm the supervisor. It's my job to get the production line running. I'm getting ready to start it all up when I see a girl riding in a motorized wheelchair. It piques my curiosity. I ask her if I can take it for a spin. I ride around the plant in the chair. I have fun. I forget to start the line. They start without me.

Suddenly it's a movie night at work and out of nowhere a giant cinema screen comes down from the ceiling. We start to watch a movie that I don't recognize. From what I remember, it was a mix between Monty Python, Airplane, and The Looney Toons. I explain to the girl next to me that I've never understood British humor. Dream ends
