Let Me Be

Once again, I witness the towers fall. Dream ends.

Fire & Water

There is a house on a hill. At the bottom of the knoll is a lake of lava. One could travel either side of the house and find the lava.

My friend Derek is in a wheelchair. I push him around to see the sights. All our peers are running down to admire the lava lake. I push Derek down there as well, but at times we come too close to the heat.

We are on a ship. A megalodon stalks us. We fight through fierce waves to survive its attacks. A few of us are pulled from the boat to the feared waters. A giant octopus appears and attempts to make us it's dinner as well. We survive the attack. Dream ends.

Commando

I can transport from my current home to the house I lived in ten years ago. All I have to do to initiate transportation is to blink.

One night, I am walking through my current house. Some of the lights are on, but not many. The backlight turns off on its own. It's probably a raccoon or groundhog. I step to the back door to check and see a man standing a few feet from the door. I walk to the front room. Suddenly, I've transported to the other house three hours away. I walk to the large family room window. Across the street is a cornfield. To keep the local vermin known as children away from the crop, the farmer erected a fence. I see a naked man struggling to climb the barrier. When he finally makes it over, he begins walking toward me.

I grab a pair of binoculars and have a stakeout in my living room. My mom is here with me. I try to focus to see the man. Something catches my eye, but it isn't him. Just outside the front window, I planted a garden. My corn is around ten feet high. It is June at the moment. They say knee-high by the fourth of July. Dream ends.

Death and Decay

Everyone is dying. My family. Friends. It has something to do with sex. The sickness is spread through sex. Similar to "IT FOLLOWS." My mom doesn't want me to see her die, so she hugs me and leaves. She dies alone in a hotel room. I watch as the people in my house slowly go the way of the reaper. The sickness hasn't found me. And it never will. I decide that it's time to leave. It's hard to choose what to bring with me. I have so many books. I can't bring them all. I look and see books written by J. R. R Tolkien sitting on my dresser. In the end, I travel light.

I know of a group of people living near Terre Haute, Indiana. I think I'll go there. The men there are builders. They use Minecraft blocks to build their structures and vehicles. I grab an antenna and a walkie talkie in case someone is alive out there and sending out a signal. I drive away from death and decay. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Electric Sky

A Dream From The Past

A party is being held at my aunt's house. Her rooms are filled with shelves of food, candy, and drinks much like a convenience store. I don't think we are allowed to eat the food. I leave the party.

Driving home, it is a little after dark. I slow down at what seems to be a construction site on the road, but it isn't. Men are throwing what appears to be grenades over the side of the highway. Some never go off. Others create an electric explosion in the sky. When this happens, they have found something extraordinary.

I run into an old friend, Hollie, at a mini-mall. There is a young, hipster boy trying to impress her. He has a pair of sunglasses and regular eyeglasses lifted onto his head. I am jealous. I walk with Hollie, and without warning, she becomes ill. She runs to the public bathroom which boasts a long line of people out the door as if we were at a Greta Van Fleet concert. But she skips everyone and runs inside to vomit. When she returns, I help her to my Jeep. I clean out my pigsty of a passenger seat for her, which in the end doesn't matter because she chooses to drive. I assume she was doing drugs, and that's the reason she got sick. I ask her if she was doing "X." She looks confused and asks, "do you mean 'H'?" I quickly recover myself, "yeah, that's what I meant." "Yeah," she replies. We drive home. Dream ends.
