Mantis

Dream 9/8/2017

I am headed toward Alaska. I'm am going there on a missions trip with Global Expeditions. We will spread the message of Jesus Christ to the villagers there.

Although we could drive to Alaska, we decide to take a boat and travel across ocean. With nearly a mile to go, without warning, we, all of us, observe as a spiky tentacle, the size of a skyscraper, surfaces and then drops back down underwater, out of sight. A few more times, we see parts of the colossal creature. The sheer size of it takes my breath from my lungs. We fear that it will capsize our boat and we will drown or be eaten.

We make it to land without problems. We greet the villagers on the dock. We ask them what the creature is. They tell us that it is called Mantis.

Our group travels inland where we go rafting on a nearby river. The river must've taken us back out to sea. We travel through the same area where we witnessed the creature earlier that day. We know that it will find us. Our fate has been determined. The captain of the boat decides to creep the vessel near a cliff as not to draw attention. Before we know it, Mantis appears. This time, it seems intent on bringing us down. I walk to the front of the ship where I have a clear visual. The tentacles lift up out of the water and slam down, time after time.

The passengers on the boat are terrified. They are so scared that two of them, Matt (who is my friend) and a girl who I do not know, commit suicide with guns. The event is distressing.

The rest of us make it back safely.

On our way home, I am walking down the aisle of the boat and I decide to sit down in an empty seat. When I do, I feel something wet on my back. I turn around and see a large blood stain on the seat. I don't know whether the blood is from Matt or the girl. Anyway, I decide to change seats. I walk up the aisle and sit down between two girls on chairs that look like toilets. Since the chair looks like a toilet, I choose to urinate while sitting there. The girls next to me are disgusted.

Back at home, finally. I sit on my bed holding a joint. I believe one of the villagers gave it to me. Should I smoke it? The temptations keeps coming. My mom is in the next room. I think she is sleeping. I almost smoke but decide against it. I open it up to see the weed. It is just a rolled up, green Brillo pad. Dream ends.

Virtual

Dream 8/30/2017

Hundreds of people are involved in an open world, virtual reality game. Everyone has been divided into teams. If you die, you are gone. Only one team wins the game.

My team is searching inside an abandoned trailer. I look out back. I find a patio table with several papers. I look through the papers and read about a girl who has given up hope. I bring the papers to the leader of our team. He finds them interesting.

We come to a place where many other teams are sitting, eating, and talking. My team sits at a table. I am walking around the table saying that we need to go. An acquaintance of mine, Matt, walks over to me and places his hand on my chest in such a way that it kills me. I slowly fall to the ground and my body disappears. Matt laughs. I am pissed. Matt only did that to make me mad. My team must go on without me.

Now that I am a ghost, I can fly. I fly to my team and watch them. I fly back to Matt's team and watch them. While Matt's team sits at a table, I attack Matt and kill him. I then attack the next person on the team. I kill every single person on their team. Total revenge. I put them out of commission. I fly back to my team.

My team is now inside a tower. I hear them talk that there is someway to bring a former player back to life. They consider which of the dead teammates to bring back. They want me back. Outside the tower, the dead teammates from Matt's team are hovering. They intend on killing everyone on our team. The tower, however, is double bricked, double glass, double everything. The ghosts cannot make it inside. The team brings me back to life.

In a completely different location, we find a building with several arcade video games. We believe that this building is where a team will win the overall game. We play each of the arcade games to see if they hold the answer. When we finish in the downstairs room, a girl and I walk up the stairs to the second floor. Upstairs is a room with more arcade games. We begin to play them to see if we can find any clues. Off in the corner, I see a staircase that winds up to another floor. I don't climb the stairs yet. I want to wait for my team to catch up. Dream ends.

Miscellaneous #2

Dream 8/9/2017

I'm on a football team. The team sits in a classroom. The TV is on. The coach asks me to push play on the remote control. I do. The projector starts a movie on the opposite side of the room. The coach asks, "what are you doing?" I am now confused.

My sister and a friend named Matt are trying to decide between two water slides. My sister is afraid of the big water slide but I convince her to try it. Matt goes before me. As soon as I see him at the end of the slide, I move into position. There is a stoplight to let riders know when it is safe to slide. The green light is lit. I slide. At the middle of the slide, I run into about fifty people who are sitting in place. I ask what they are doing. They are protesting something. Geez, everyone is protesting something today. I tell them that they are nuts and that the slide is going to collapse. I force my way through causes many riders to lose traction and slide the rest of the way. The staff forces the rest of them to come down. At one point, I shout, "you guys owe me three bucks for wasting my ride."

My friend, Kirk, is apart of a Jeopardy tournament being held at my school. He wins. Everyone is leaving the school. Kirk gets angry with my sister. He tells her, "I don't like how you tell people that you've won the tournament before, it was really hard for me." My sister needs a ride home. Something is wrong with her car. Kirk says it is alright, he can give her a lift. My friends Kirk, Tim and my sister and I ride with Kirk through downtown Anderson, Indiana.

At one point, we are out of the car standing on a street corner. On the other side of the street is a large, abandoned building. Kirk mentions how the main door has fallen off. Some of the building as crumbled but much of it is still standing. Many of the windows are broken. All of us try throwing a small basketball into the broken windows from this side of the street. When it comes to be my turn, I look both ways to make sure no cops are coming. When it is clear, I hurl the ball as hard as I can. It doesn't even reach the other side of the road. I feel like "Smalls" from The Sandlot. I say that there is no way to get the ball into the window.

We walk to the other side and check out the building. Kirk gets inside. I look inside the window and see that the lights are on. Then they turn off. I wonder is Kirk is turning the lights on and off. He walks out. While walking down some stairs, I notice an opening at the bottom of the building. I move around the opening to see. One could definitely get into the building through here.

All of us walk down the sidewalk. I see three kids that look like they attend Hogwarts. They all wear black robes. Suddenly, Kirk, Tim and my sister start running. They are racing each other. My sister falls down. I run and stand next to her as we are not in a good part of the town. Dream ends.

I wake up.

High School Blues

Dream 3/16/2017

In high school, I walk to my locker to get the books for my next class. I see that my top locker is open which is weird because I never use my top locker due to the lock that I can never get open. I walk to my next class. I open the door and realize I'm in the wrong class. The room I am standing in is an advanced college English class. Everyone is staring at me. They all yell at me to get out, telling me that I don't belong here, that this class is for smart people. I need to go to the "regular" English classroom.

I have a homework assignment to take something from the school and refurbish it into something new. A fellow student offers to help me. We grab a metal trashcan and sit on the gym floor. He does all the work. He turns the trashcan into a colorful tree with animals and fruit springing from it.

I walk out to the student parking lot and my guitar and amp are set up to play. I pick up my guitar and the strings shock my hands when I strum them. As I continue to play, fire shoots from my amp. A guy named Matt walks over and asks to play my guitar. I warn him that something is wrong with it. As he begins to play, fire once again shoots from the amp and smoke starts billowing from the guitar. He puts it down and leaves.

I start to pack everything up into my Jeep. A fellow student named Tim offers to give me a ride home. He jumps into my Jeep, as do I. I ask him if he has ever driven a Jeep before and warn him that he can't make speedy sharp turns or he could tip the vehicle. I tell him that I know three people who have died from flipping their Jeeps. He drives me home taking a different way than I take. Dream ends.

I wake up.

A Head Full of Skin

Dream 1/7/2017

I'm babysitting a very fat toddler. The kid is obese. I have to keep a sharp eye on him because he keeps walking over to the staircase and trying to fall backward down the stairs on purpose. He may be trying to commit suicide.

My friends Matt and Aaron are throwing a house party. Matt shows me his sound equipment. State of the art. He's got a turntable, but instead of vinyl records, he's got cd's playing. My sisters and aunt are here. They are wasted. My aunt keeps telling us about a gathering tomorrow that we need to attend. I walk over to a group of people who are sitting down, one of them is the obese toddler, but he is much older. He's twelve or thirteen now. While the party continues, I sit alone at the dining room table and watch television. The reception is fuzzy on the TV. I can only half see and hear what I am watching.

The next day I attend the meeting my aunt invited me to. It's a Klan meeting. A Ku Klux Klan meeting. There are several people on stage in white robes. One of them looks like the pope. They are commemorating my aunt for something she did. At one point, the speaker urges everyone to walk over to another part of the room where many pictures hang on a wall. He mentions the significance of the pictures but they look like they've been drawn by an eight year old. I sit back down.

The speaker says, "These colored people think they deserve rights..." I interrupt with a round of obnoxious but purposeful applause. The crowd seems disturbed by my actions. The man next to me grabs me and squeezes my face until my teeth feel like they are going to break.

At the end of the meeting, the head honcho walks out of the building and I follow him. I intend to insult him when one of his guards, who is African-american, stops me. I start sweet talking her, "What if we go upstairs and we kiss and touch each other?" She tells me to meet her upstairs in five minutes. Dream ends.

Glasses

Dream 1-31-14

My friends Aaron, Matt and I decide to take in a movie. On our way to the local theatre, I tell them that I need to pick up my sunglasses at a gas station nearby. They drop me off at the door. I walk in to the station and walk toward the sunglasses display rack. I left my personal glasses here a few days ago.
I can't find them. I find out that the station sold them today. I'm upset but I still need a pair of sunglasses. I start to browse the selection. I find and try on the strangest pair of glasses I have ever seen. In fact, the glasses look like they're made from a large soft pretzel. Dream ends.

I wake up.
