Ghost

Nightmare 2-14-14

I'm standing in the entrance of a cave. It's night. I have a fire going. Outside of the cave is a giant hole. Beyond that is a field. Across the field, I see some family members of mine standing around their own fire. I walk to them.

When I get to them they take me down a trail to a cabin. We walk in. My aunt then tells us she's going to make her dead mother appear. She appears. I'm scared.
My family leaves. I stay in the cabin by myself that night. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I look in the mirror. I hope to myself that the ghost doesn't appear behind me. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Five Guys, Bikers and Cries

Dream 2-9-14

My brother-in-law, Chad, and me are driving through our old hometown of Anderson, IN. We are hungry. I think we should eat at Taco Bell. Chad thinks we should eat at Five Guys, Burgers and Fries. Chad decides that he is right. We drive to Five Guys.
We enter the restaurant, which is mostly empty with the exception of a few guests over in the corner. We walk up to the counter to give our order. We both get a burger and fries. We sit down. I overhear a girl across the room say that she wants to be a hot dog vendor. I find that fascinating because I too want to be a hot dog vendor.
We finish our food. As we walk out of the restaurant, I stop by the girls table and tell her about my hot dog aspirations. She tells me that she also wants to work in ministry. I find that incredible because I too want to work in ministry.
Suddenly, my mother is there. She tells me how her foot is killing her and that I should pray for it.
I start to command the pain to leave her foot. The girl in the restaurant begins to pray for her as well. I ask my mom to stand and try to walk on it. She does. Her foot is healed.
We all walk out of the restaurant together. We walk behind the restaurant into a open field. As we walk, a biker gang swarms in and surrounds us. Each member of the gang has layers of cloth wrapped around their face. They seem dangerous. We make a run for our vehicles. Several men from the gang try to punch my mom. I protect her. We make it to our vehicle and drive away. The gang follows us.
Driving down the road we find that we are running out of gas. Our car starts to sputter. Driving next to us is a truck. I, being in the passenger seat, roll down my window and flag the truck down. The man in the truck lowers his window. Low and behold, it's my friend Jake. He happily decides to lend his helping hand. We climb into  his truck and drive away. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Hotel

Dream 12-20-13

I'm in a hotel.

I don't know which floor I am on, but I know it's not the first floor. At one end of the hallway, down on the right, is my home. That is also where my mom lives. At the other end of the hall is a food court, on both sides. Lining the left side of the hallway wall, on the other side of my house, are four restaurants that have gone out of business. One of the four restaurants is actually a bar that my friend Joel once performed in. Joel is a musician. He is also visiting today.

Joel and I walk down to my house so he can see my mom. While we are there, I tell him that he once played in the bar down the hall. He becomes very quiet and gets emotional. I walk with him down to the bar. We stand in the doorway and reminisce. In a flash, Joel walks out of the bar and goes to one of the buffets in the the food court.

Joel meets the man who owns the bar. The owner gives us the dime tour of his bar. He shows us all the bands and artists pictures on the wall. I remember seeing Gene Simmons from KISS. He mentions that he printed all of these posters out of his computer which is a very old model that would never have the ability to do such a thing. I don't know if he is kidding or not.
Joel and I and a few other friends who just appeared walk back down to the food court. We stand in line to the buffet. Joel mentions that this man in a few minutes is going to turn on the music and that he is going to dance. One by one each of us says aloud, "I'm gonna dance too." In the line to the buffet, one of the cooks asks, "what can I get for you." I respond, "just a roll please." she says in a rude manner, "this is a buffet, you can't just get a roll." I'm a little setback. I answer, "damn.. okay then." She starts to put a bunch of food on my plate. Across the room are friends that I hung out with years before. They are drenched with water. I don't say anything to them. They walk away.
-
Things change quite rapidly. Almost like a different story. The man in charge (whoever that is) tells one of us to kill the other (I'm not included in this mess). So, three of us step into an elevator that is in the bar, and place a plastic clothes bin on our head. Suddenly we are not in the elevator but rather in the shallow waters of the ocean on a beach. One of my friends says to the other, "you need to drown, that's what the man told me to do." We eventually come to the conclusion that no one is going to die today. We throw off the plastic clothes bin and look around. We know the man in charge is on the beach making sure the job gets done, however, he isn't on this part of the sand, so we run. My friends find a van and get in it, however, some things in this story change.
-
My friends drive away, but we are no longer on a beach, we are in a hallway with wooden floors. I am a normal sized person and my friends are itty bitty. They are driving a hot wheels car. We have miles of hallway to go before we get back to the hotel lobby. Spread across every hallway floor are toys, mostly other hot wheel cars but also other toys. My friends keep driving. I run behind them. Someone mentions that the man in charge and his goons are behind us in his own car. He isn't in sight, I just hope we can keep the speed and never see him. I close doors as we go, so to slow the bad man down. We come to a bathroom and the car stops. "Look at that," someone says. Behind the toilet is a giant black spider. I get my friends out of the van they are in and rush down the hall to find another hot wheels car. I find one that opens from the top. It looks like a fast car. They get in. They start to drive. It is a fast car, so fast that I can't even keep up. They drive out of sight. All I can hear is the buzz of the little engine in the distance. Dream ends.

I wake up.

The Price is Right

Dream 6-13-13

My father is a contestant on The Price is Right. My mother and I are sitting behind the cameras watching. They keep calling my dad "the Vietnam vet." This seems strange to me. He didn't fight in Vietnam. My mom takes her camera out and snaps a picture. I grab her by the shoulder and pull her back. She screams. I tell her that she can't disturb the production. Bob Barker walks toward her and takes her camera away. My dad wins the show.

In 1993, My dad is playing his guitar on the couch. His shirt is off, and he's wearing a baseball cap. The kids are running throughout the house, playing.
Years later, my brother and I feel the need to play The Price is Right. We travel to California. My dad comes with us. We make it to the show. We ask for an information card but all the name cards are filled. We find one that is empty. I fill it out. I sit down and wait for my name to be called. Dream ends.

I wake up.

A House From My Past

Nightmare 5-23-13

I'm in a house. A house that I used to know a long time ago. My family is here. A man is sitting in the living room. He is a violent man. He yells at us. He says that he wants a bottle of old French wine and a VHS tape. We bring it to him. I feel his violence as I walk toward him. I think he wants to do me harm. I give him the wine. I put the tape in the VCR.
-
Suddenly we are traveling throughout the world. Maybe in our minds. It's not this world.
-
I'm walking through the house. So many memories. It feels different this time around. It feels cold. I feel far away from reality. I walk upstairs and look at what used to be my bedroom. It's empty. Just a few meaningless pieces of paper lay on the floor. I walk into what used to be my sister's bedroom. My mother is in bed. My mother and father sleep in different rooms now. She tells me that she misses him. He is downstairs. I walk downstairs to talk to him. I tell him how I feel about this situation. He begins to cry.
-
My sisters and I are sitting in the living room. We turn the light off. We see the silhouette of a giant spider. My sister screams. The light comes on. We see many spiders. Fear takes us. Dream ends.

I wake up.
