The Great Escape

Dream 9.19.2018

A nearby forest is on fire and spreading fast. Our community comes together and escapes the coming blaze. Some of us are riding in a van. Others, including myself, are in an open trailer. We pass by my dad's house, which is a tent. We tell the driver to stop. The leaders tell us that we must keep moving. We stop anyway. I run into the tent to gather some personal items, and soon we are back on the road. We drive through unique areas and walk through different buildings.

All of us stay in a shelter. My sister Amy is here. Without warning, ballistic missiles fall from the sky. Many hide under their beds for a last-ditch effort at survival. I do the same. I survive the first batch of air attacks, but more are coming. Once again, those of us who are still alive are back on the move. We crowd into a bus and drive away from the war zone.

I become separated from the group. I go one way, thinking it's the right way, but then I watch as the bus speeds the other direction. It goes too fast, and I cannot catch up. I stand in the middle of a highway writing a story about an old woman who has a stalker. The man comes to her house often, and he is hostile. She locks the doors and readies her shotgun, in case it comes to that. One day the man arrives. I have yet to write the ending. Dream ends.

Escape

Dream 2/21/2017

I'm running through an uptown high rise trying to escape the men chasing me. I make it to the roof. The bad guys are right on my heals. If I don't hide quick, they will see me so I slowly start to shimmy down the side of the building. The bad guys catch up and one of them points me out. They start shooting. The next floor down has a strange walkway on the side of the building. I make it to the walkway where they can't see me. I hear one of them say to the other, "I think he fell.".

I run.

The walkway wraps around the building so I run all the way to the other side. I climb back up onto the roof from the other side. One of the goons sees me and pulls his gun. I pull a revolver and shoot faster. He falls to the ground. Dead. The men on the other side must've heard the shot so in a panic I find my way to the escape.

I meet up with my group of people. We try to make it out of the building together. I see one of my friends halfway down a hallway. Behind her appears a girl who is bad. I aim my gun the best I can and shoot. My friend falls to the ground. I shot her in the stomach. The bad girl gets away. Dream ends.

Jailbird

Dream 2-6-14

A friend and me are in a toy store. Walking down one of the aisles, we decide to scale the store shelves and climb into the ceiling. My friend goes first. He climbs the toy shelf and successfully makes it. My turn. I climb the toy shelf and just as I'm about to pull myself up into the ceiling, the tile comes loose and I fall down into the toys, knocking over the shelf.
The employees of the store come and tell me that I have to pay a vacations worth of money for the damage that I caused. I don't argue. I just pay it.
Now I am a criminal. The authorities are after me everywhere I go. They're chasing me. In this city, there are many hotels. I walk into one and head toward the elevators. I press the "up" button. Ding. I get into the elevator and press the 47th floor.
I am now on the top floor. The cops are just minutes behind me. I must find an escape. I find a door to the outside. I walk onto the roof of the hotel. I am 47 stories above the city. Just as the cops get to me, I jump. I now have a parachute, I pull it and glide toward the ground of another hotel. In a James Bond-like manner, I land on the sidewalk, take off the parachute and brush myself off.
I walk into another hotel to the front desk. I purchase a room for the night. They give me a room. I make my way up to the sixth floor where my room is. In the lobby on the sixth floor is a restaurant, in fact, there are restaurants on every floor. I get to my room and finally feel comfort that no one knows where I am.
I now have a friend with me. An accomplice. Julia Roberts.
Julia and I walk aimlessly through the hotel. For no reason, we just walk. We come to a buffet on one of the floors. I steal a roll. I feel bad for stealing, so I pay the cashier. He says I gave him more money than the roll is worth, so I can take some more food. I take another roll. I come to a sandwich buffet where there are several options for meat, cheese and bread. I grab a handful of meat, followed by a handful of cheese, then I grab two pieces of rye bread and finish it off. I eat the sandwich as me and Julia wander the hotel.
The cops find out where I'm staying. They come for me. As they make it to the sixth floor where my room is, I walk out the front door to a black Cadillac where I find Julia. I get into the car and Julia and I drive off never to be seen again. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Hot Water In Mother Russia

Nightmare 5-28-13

I find myself in prison. I don't think its America. It looks like Russia. I am led down a hall to where the cell blocks are. I overhear a prison guard say that they are going to throw me into a vat of boiling water. (why do I always find myself in these kinds of situations.) There is only one guard here now. I attack him. I don't know if he is dead. I take his rugged clothes. I wear his dirty hat. I escape warning the others of what they mean to do. Somehow I make it outside into the bitter snow. Out of nowhere, I have a gun. The gun doesn't shoot lead bullets. These bullets are snowballs. Dream ends.
 -
I'm escaping from an unknown building. There are many of my friends on a porch cheering me on. This is real. I jump from tree to tree, launching myself toward the ocean. I make it to the sea. I think I am safe. The devil is now calling me out, not with words but rather waves. The waves aren't coming from the ocean, they are coming from the house. I duck behind a dock. The first wave crashes into the pier. I am soaked. Another wave comes. I duck for cover. Enough of this. I make a run for it toward the house. I think the attacks are over. My friends on the porch point out that something is chasing me. I look behind me and find that a ferocious cougar is chasing me. I run as fast as my legs will carry me. He is gaining on me. I make it to the porch. Dream ends.

I wake up.
