Leap

Dream 10/17/2016

A guy that I work with, a person that my mind created and I walk down to the bridge that crosses the Ohio river. We dare each other to jump. It's a 70-ft drop. My work buddy has a leg cast that covers the entirety of his leg. He climbs up onto the edge of the bridge and makes the leap to the water below. Me and the remaining guy don't think he made it. The 70-ft drop was iffy enough, but the fact that his leg was already messed up brings doubt to my mind. We hear cheering below. We look down and see our friend climb up onto a smaller bridge, raise his arms in the air and give us the "okay." Dream ends.

Castlevania

Dream 7-26-2016

Today is special. We've all, friends and family, gathered at my friends ranch for the day
to have a good time. It's time to take this party up a notch. My friends dad orders a large house-like water slide structure. It looks like a castle. To get to the top, one can either attempt the two yellow ladders reaching five or six stories up. Or you can walk the ever long ramp to the top.
Around fifty teenagers and young adults start up the ramps to the top. There are several pathways. I take one in which I am by myself for the most part.

The structure doesn't seem at all like a water slide. The hallways are long, wide and tall. And everything is made of stainless steel. We get to the top and try to slide down but the water isn't working. Water is supposed to fall from the ceiling all through-out the steel caste, but it doesn't causing everyone who tries to come to a screeching hault.

So instead of sliding, we make the water slide into a house, calling dibs on the rooms we like and taking ownership of it. I get a small room in the corner away from all the noise. It's comfy and cozy with a nice view of the gas station outside. I walk down the hallway and find a row of beds full of jocksters holding their trophies, as if that isn't cliche. I tell them that this is beginning to look like a frat house.

I walk outside and find lines of people playing catch. My dad is at the end of the row tossing a ball with one of the more troubled individuals here. My dad throws the ball a little too hard and it falls into a large bush. This kid goes to find it. Dream ends.

Concert Hall

Dream 3-14-14

I'm at a concert hall.

A famous band is playing. Barely anyone is here. It must be the sound check. I walk over and steal one of the band members water bottles. I take it back over to my group of friends. A girl says she wants to drink from it. She takes a sip. She says it's too salty. I drink from it. It's pure water and salt. Salt has settled at the bottom of the bottle. I put it back.

They tell me that I'm having a small concert today. They announce my band and everyone cheers. My friend Joel is in the front row. It comes time for me to start playing but I get nervous. I decide to play my song "Slow Down." I start.

I'm so nervous that I can't get the melody right. What I'm singing sounds nothing like the real song. I finally finish. The cheering is thin throughout the crowd. I mostly receive mercy claps. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Hot Water In Mother Russia

Nightmare 5-28-13

I find myself in prison. I don't think its America. It looks like Russia. I am led down a hall to where the cell blocks are. I overhear a prison guard say that they are going to throw me into a vat of boiling water. (why do I always find myself in these kinds of situations.) There is only one guard here now. I attack him. I don't know if he is dead. I take his rugged clothes. I wear his dirty hat. I escape warning the others of what they mean to do. Somehow I make it outside into the bitter snow. Out of nowhere, I have a gun. The gun doesn't shoot lead bullets. These bullets are snowballs. Dream ends.

I'm escaping from an unknown building. There are many of my friends on a porch cheering me on. This is real. I jump from tree to tree, launching myself toward the ocean. I make it to the sea. I think I am safe. The devil is now calling me out, not with words but rather waves. The waves aren't coming from the ocean, they are coming from the house. I duck behind a dock. The first wave crashes into the pier. I am soaked. Another wave comes. I duck for cover. Enough of this. I make a run for it toward the house. I think the attacks are over. My friends on the porch point out that something is chasing me. I look behind me and find that a ferocious cougar is chasing me. I run as fast as my legs will carry me. He is gaining on me. I make it to the porch. Dream ends.

I wake up.
