The Rustic Barn

Dream 5/15/2017

I am inside a barn. Several teenagers are here as well. We are hanging out on the second story of the barn. The floor is unstable. My friend, Gary, falls through the floor as he tries to sit down. He falls to the first floor. The entire middle part of the floor crumbles. A handful of teens are stuck on the other side while the rest of us are on the side with the stairs.

Some teachers and leaders come and hand out a paper to each of us. They then ask us to answer three short essay questions. I sit on the edge of the broken floor and answer the questions. The teachers say that when we are finished, we are to exit the barn and wait outside. As I write, I hear and see my friends stand up one at a time, hand in their paper and walk down the stairs. It gets harder and harder to finish my paper for I cannot remove my mind from how fast my friends are finishing. I want to be outside with them but I am too slow with this assignment. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Miscellaneous

Dream 3/24/2017

I'm hanging out inside a barn with a friend. The friend's cat is roaming the barn. The little fur ball is nineteen years old. My friend tells me that the cat and his dad used to cuddle together. A giant, hairy, red and black spider starts approaching us. My friend tells me that the spider and the cat have been friends for years. I'm a bit uneasy about the spider. Wherever I walk, the eight-legged freak follows me.

I walk to my dad's camper. He tells me that he is thinking about getting back into church and possibly preaching again. I ask him why. He tells me that it all started the other night when his neighbor Tony came over for a bonfire and Tony started preaching.

Inside our school there is a legend that in the basement there is a secret door that will lead to a tunnel system under the city. We roam the basement but cannot find the door.

We rent the movie "Never Been Kissed." We know a teacher at our school who we want to reenact the movie with. We go out shopping for her. In a store front, we find mannequin heads with crazy hairstyles. We choose the one with blonde dreadlocks. We dye our teachers hair black and white but never give her dreadlocks. I have to live with my teacher. She tells me to always be quiet in her house because she doesn't want her neighbors to know she is here.

The teacher has a small gathering at her house. "Never Been Kissed" is playing on the television. I see my friend Kevin who was in the barn earlier. I ask him why he left the barn. He said it smells really bad. I tell him that I will help him clean it up so that it won't smell anymore. Dream ends.

I wake up.

The Practice

Dream 2/8/2016

Girls from my class are playing a pickup game of basketball. I decide to join in on the fun.

As I'm playing, I look over to the bleachers and see my baseball coach, Mr. Allen. I walk over to him. He tells me that he has a special baseball glove for me and he wants me to be his relief pitcher in the 9th inning. The glove is quite small and is covered in Velcro. My friend, Tim, tells me that we should go practice.

We board a school bus and take off looking for a nice patch of land to throw the ball around. We drive through some poverty stricken neighborhoods and then drive out to the country. All we see are corn fields and the occasional 100 year old barn with the roof caved in. We find a place to practice next to an abandoned house. The house looks like it was burned up in a fire. We explore. We encounter ghosts of the people who used to live here. The ghosts are hostile. Dream ends.

I wake up

Rubble

Dream 2-15-14

I'm walking through a ruined city. There are friends here with me. We have an enemy on the other side of town that we are trying to avoid. We come to a narrow street with rubble lining the road. We hear our rivals approaching. We quickly run into one of the buildings and quietly hide. We lower all the shutters and blinds. The sound of the enemy becomes louder and louder. We finally see several men march down the narrow street. Their shadows travel through the shutters. I'm very scared that they're going to find us. They don't.

I walk by myself to the enemy lines. I don't see anybody. I grab a large bone off the ground. It's shaped like an African Shofar. I run through the enemy territory. I don't know what my mission is. All of a sudden, I see a soldier. He's not good. I bash him over the head with the bone. He falls. I keep running. I make it to a barn. There I find another foe. Rather this time, I talk the young man into joining us. He does. I hand him my bone and tell him to kill anyone who tries to get us. We make a run for the ally camps. Bashing heads as we go. We finally make it. Dream ends.

I wake up.
