It's The End Of The World As We Know It

Dream 9/21/2017

After being away, I return home to find a monstrous pile of books sitting in my driveway. Being an avid collector of books, I start going through the pile to see what I can find. I see a Goosebumps book. I make it my goal to find every Goosebumps here. I walk away for a moment and when I return, the pile of books is gone. Several people are standing outside, including many of my cousins. I find out that my dad boxed up all of the books to be taken away and recycled. I throw a quiet fit. My dad knows I am upset. In a gentle way, I let him know that I wanted to find all the good books in the pile before it was trashed. I walk away again. When I return, I see all the people, including my cousins, rummaging through the books, for me, to find the treasures (including Goosebumps.)

The apocalypse has taken place. My family owns a decent sized farmhouse in the country. We plant trees on the outside of our fence but this isn't normal life trees, it's Minecraft trees. We put a plant in the ground and then Pop! within a second it is fully grown. We plant the trees in an unusual pattern. I hear a car driving by, which is unusual since most people in the world are dead. I flag the person down. It is a woman. She joins our household. Another day, I hear another vehicle. I flag them down. It is a married couple. They join our household as well. Our village is growing.

My brother-in-law, Andy, and I take a drive to scavenge the town. I point out a golf course. "I like the way you think," Andy says to me. I'm thinking we could find some golf clubs in here to use as weapons. We pull up to the club house and notice that somebody is in there. Andy reverses the car and drives away, "we don't want any part of that," he exclaims. We drive into town. At one part in the town, there is a dirt bike track. I see people on it. They point our direction. I am nervous. We drive on.

We make it to a grocery store. The store is full of shoppers. I find this odd as it is the apocalypse. Also, we have to pay for our items? That's bogus. I wanted to get the authentic apocalypse experience but now I can't because I have to pay for what I take? Andy has a food warmer on wheels and is using it as a cart. I find the Silk Almond milk. It is high on a shelf. I climb the shelf and it starts to tip. It completely falls over. I grab three cartons; chocolate, strawberry and zombie. That is literally what the carton of milk says, "zombie flavored." Andy is just ladling food into his warmer. It's looking like a jail house mash at this point. He asks if I am ready to go. I am not but I don't want to take up his time so I tell him that I'm ready. The cashier announces over the intercom that the news has predicted three earthquakes for today. What? I didn't think the news was still running. What kind of lame apocalypse is this? Dream ends.

Strange Occurrences

Dream 5/27/2017

My mother and I have returned to my childhood home to live. She is upset. I ask her about where we are going to live because at this moment we own two homes. She tells me that we are going to live here although she doesn't want to because she feels that my dad will hunt her down and kill her.

The living room is quite empty except for a few boxes and bookshelves. I place my many books on the shelves to give them some personality. I walk through the house to find more books. When I return, I find that all of the shelves are broken and the books have fallen through. I ask my mom what happened. Annoyed, she tells me that it broke when I was playing with it. I explain to her that I wasn't playing with it but actually just putting my books onto it.

I tell my mom that I am going to work on my room. I haven't seen my room in years. It's a small room but comfortable. I walk into my bedroom and find that the shelves in this room are broken as well. I attempt to fix the shelves so that I can put my books on them. I have three closets in this room. One of the walls in my room has been destroyed. I can see through to my closet even with the door closed. I notice the closet looks much bigger than it used to. I walk into the closet and find an additional section to this house that didn't exist before.

I walk into this room and find three rooms. They are one big room but three rooms within the one room. The largest room is a pool room with a hot tub in the middle. The two smaller rooms off the side are computer rooms that belong to my sisters. I notice that the water in the hot tub is running. Suddenly, I have the feeling that my house is haunted. I start walking back to the part of the house that my mom is located. As I leave the room, a stream of hot water starts to shoot at my from another part of the room. Now I know my house is haunted. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Late Fee

Dream 5/10/2016

My sisters, brother-in-law, and me are at the Middletown, Indiana public library.

I walk the aisles of the library with a few books in my hand. A man who I don't recognize comes and takes the books out of my hands and says that I can't have them. I'm a little confused by the incident.

My sisters and I go to the front desk to check out all of our books. The librarian tells my sister that she has a five-hundred dollar late fee. My sister asks her what happens if she doesn't pay. The librarian says that they will sue her for the money. We decide to use my other sisters account to check out the books. Dream ends.

Bombshell

Dream 8/1/2015

I arrive at my high school one morning a few minutes before the first bell.

If you get to school a little early, you can sit in the bleachers and talk with friends. A man that we don't recognize stands in front of the students. He says that for now on, we the students will have to remain completely silent when sitting in the bleachers before school. The students are not happy. We barely get any time to relax and talk throughout the school day and now they're going to take one of the only times that we can talk and say we can't. The students pull out their cell phones and call the office to complain. A few minutes later a voice comes over the intercom and tells us that do to much complaint, the "silence rule" will not be implemented. The students unanimously let out a roar of elation.

The school day begins. I need to grab a book from my locker and head to first period, Bible class. My locker is a train wreck. I lack basic organization skills. Most of my books are jammed at the bottom of the locker. I can see many of them are torn up and abused. I grab what I need and walk to class.

I know I am running late because the hallways are mostly empty. I can feel the final bell ringing at any moment. In a moment of desperation, my walk turns into a full sprint. I just might make it. When I get there I am met by an empty classroom, a handful of students, and no teacher. This is odd. The class is usually full to the brim. My first thought is that I am in the wrong place. Then the intercom comes on. A lady's voice is heard throughout the halls and classrooms of the school. The lady on the other end tells us that they have found a military machine outside the school that they believe to be a bomb, and that all students need to stay where they are. We can see the machine from the windows of our classroom.

I still wonder where the students are. Did they know something that I didn't? Are they the smart ones? I would think so. If there is a possible bomb anywhere near you, the smart people disregard orders to stay. Why is nobody panicking. The rest becomes fuzzy. Perhaps the bomb went off. Perhaps it didn't. Maybe I am just a tiny bird ready to peek my head over the edge of the nest to get a fresh look at the world. Suppose I woke up and their was no sun and I spent my days wondering whether it was day or night. I've been here before, I know it. This place is too familiar to be strange. I can't seem to find where it fits in my past, but I know I've been here. Perhaps the bomb went off. Dream ends.

I wake up.

Passport to Romance

Dream 6-17-14

I'm inside a stadium. It looks like a football stadium. It's not a football stadium. It's a dating service. Where in a stadium there would be concession stands, here there are rooms and libraries where you can talk to someone of interest.

My sisters, brother-in-law and mom are in a room off to the corner of the stadium. I don't know what my family is doing but I'm am here for the girls. While they stay in the room, I wonder off into the larger room of the stadium. I can see thousands of people sitting and talking in the stands. I see a girl sitting in a leather library chair. I find her attractive but am too scared to talk to her. I walk on.

One of the services of the dating company is to take your blood pressure and that will tell you what personality traits you have as well as the traits you are looking for. I have my blood pressure taken. Immediately after the test is over, a lady comes to me with a sheet of paper. The important items are highlighted.

I head back to the room where my family is. My sister and brother-in-law tell me that my mom and other sister are taking a nap before we head home. In the room is a bookshelf full of dusty books. The books probably haven't been read in years, some of them may have never been read. One peaks my curiosity. I slip it off the dusty shelf and start to flip through it. I find that someone has a page bookmarked with an old passport. The passport is old and tattered and missing the cover. It's from a man who was in the army. It tells that his base was "Fort Mubst" in Michigan. He was born in 1947. Dream ends

I wake up.
