Swell Timing

A Dream from My Past

I'm walking through a large, empty mall with my mom. We sit down at the food court and talk. We decide to leave the mall. We walk and walk and walk and walk. When we get to the entrance, she remembers that we parked at the other entrance. I decide to wait while she gets the car.

I'm walking up a snowy trail in Middletown, Indiana. There is a house on my left but I don't know who lives there. I keep walking. I think about the movie Schindler's List.

I browse the shelves at a local, used bookstore hoping to find an interesting read. I pull one from the shelf. It's King Kong. I loved the movies but never knew there was a book. I buy it.

I'm in the basement of a youth pastors house. I'd say about forty teenagers are here listening to the pastor speak. Another kid insults me. I decide to leave. As I'm walking up the stairs, the whole group of teenagers erupt into a brawl. Swell timing. Dream ends.

King Kong

Dream 2/15/2016

Me and three other friends are putting on three plays for an audience.

Mike, from Breaking Bad, picks us up in his car and takes us to a hotel where we are to perform. The first play is outside on a stage. I didn't even look at my lines. I have the script with me. We struggle through the first two skits. The final skit takes place on the roof of the hotel. I ask my sister if she'll be in it. She agrees.

We get to the roof and there is no audience. The show must go on! We start to perform. King Kong appears on the roof. He picks up my sister and throws her off the building. She lands in the river. I tell Kong that he wasn't supposed to do that. I can see in his face that he feels bad. He climbs down the building and swims to where she is. He brings her back. We continue the play for the audience that isn't there. Dream ends.
